cclaimed producer-actor Rahul Mittra has
joined the cast of veteran filmmaker Anil
ASharma’s upcoming period film Arjun Naga,
playing Kasim Baloch, a Balochi gangster. Mittra is
currently shooting alongside the lead cast at a mas-
sive set in Mumbai’s Film City.
Following the success of Gadar 2, one of the big-
gest blockbusters of recent years, Sharma has turned
his attention to this ambitious period drama, which
is being mounted on a grand scale. The film stars
Arjun Rampal, Randeep Hooda, Utkarsh Sharma,
Nidhhi Agerwal and Celina Jaitley, alongside an im-
pressive ensemble of actors, including Mittra.
Set against the backdrop of Dubai’s oil boom in
the 1960s, Arjun Naga will be shot across multiple
locations in Mumbai, Rajasthan, Dubai and other
international cities.
Mittra, whose birthday was celebrated by the
film’s cast and crew on the set on October 13, was
last seen in the critically acclaimed film Haq. He
delivered an impressive performance as a sessions
judge in the film, which starred Emraan Hashmi and
Yami Gautam.
A producer and actor, Mittra has worked across
the Indian film industry, combining his experience
behind the camera with performances in front of it.
His role in Arjun Naga adds another character-driv-
en performance to his acting portfolio.
Sharma, meanwhile, is known for directing films
that combine strong emotional narratives with large-
scale cinematic storytelling. His filmography in-
cludes the Gadar franchise, with Gadar 2 emerging
as a major commercial success. The filmmaker has
also directed films such as Apne, The Hero: Love
Story of a Spy and Singh Saab the Great. His collab-
oration with his son Utkarsh Sharma, who plays a
key role in Arjun Naga, continues a creative associa-
tion that has featured prominently in his recent work.
